    "body": "<h1>Constant Variable</h1>\n<h2>Visual Identity for Free Libre Open Source Software Arts Lab</h2>\n<p>The 19th century town house at Rue Gallait 80 is now known as Constant Variable.\nFor three years, it will house an arts lab for free, libre and open source software.\nNext to the Open Source Publishing studio, there is an open video workshop and\nan open hardware workshop. The top floor houses a residency.</p>\n<p>OSP has created a modular visual identity for Constant Variable.\nUsing stickers with the VARIABLE logo and seperate keyword stickers representing\nFree, Libre, Open Source, Software and arts.</p>\n<p>The launch of Variable has coincided with the release of the Crickx font,\nused in the identity—based upon the letters from a Schaerbeek sign maker’s shop.</p>\n<p>The signage has been created using actual Crickx stock from Publi Fluor,\nthe stock upon which the digital font has been based.</p>",

    "body": "<h1>A FLYER FOR CONSTANT</h1>\n<p>Constant is an association for art and media, based in Brussels. It is focused on free software philosophy through different groups and activities: Open Source Video, Open Source Publishing, Active Archives… It organizes every year the multi-disciplinary festival “Verbindingen/Jonctions” which conferences are translated simultaneously in 3 languages: English, Dutch and French.</p>\n<p>For this flyer, Constant wanted to write its postal address mixing the three languages (or at least French/Dutch) because language is always such an important matter in Belgium… There were supposed to be 2 different flyers: one French/English, one Dutch/English. </p>\n<p>Since language is so important in Belgium but also in Constant's preoccupations, we focused on this particular aspect to design the flyer. Instead of making 2 different flyers for different languages, we put all languages on the same flyer: they follow each other in an infinite loop. There are still 4 different flyers in order to have each language uncut (English appears twice actually). </p>\n<p>The shapes in the background are from the font Constant made for its website. It is composed of shapes and drawings from different former projects. </p>",

    "body": "<h1>Radio Panik</h1>\n<p>OSP has designed the 2012 program for Brussels based alternative radio station, Radio Panik.\nThe program (‘the grille’) is constructed through what is considered a type crime—\nhorizontally squashing the text to make it fit. We debuted our new typeface Reglo for this job.</p>\n<p>Next to the design of the program, we constructed a web interface that provides a means\nfor the employees of Radio Panik to generate cd covers and posters in the same style.</p>\n<p>The web interface allows one to browse and choose from the various image categories of Wikimedia Commons,\ninput a text and choose a paper size, after which it will generate a design in a vector file format.\nThe output is an SVG file which can be further edited in proprietary and libre image editors.</p>",

Changer de peau en soi, faire remarquer sa nouvelle présence, forger son image, se faire une réputation. Mais est-ce aussi simple que cela, est-ce que cela tient uniquement à cette façade de sa propre reconnaissance ? Ce qui est certain, c'est que, comme chaque relation que nous voulions entamer, l'idée du dialogue et du processus devait exister. Voilà pourquoi, il était important de rencontrer des personnalités philosophiquement engagées dans ces deux propositions. Instinctivement, nous sommes allés vers Speculoos. Ici nous interrompons le texte, extrait du blog http://osp.constantvzw.org/ :\n« En février Monica et Fabien du Théâtre de la Balsamine sont arrivés chez Speculoos, et deux heures après ils sont repartis, sans même vraiment le savoir, avec en plus OSP et <stdin>. Pierre a senti d'une part qu'une hétérogéneïté de pratiques graphiques serait mieux à même de rendre compte de la tentative d'involution du projet théâtral naissant de la Balsamine, et d'autre part que, pour une fois, OSP pouvait risquer une réponse à une demande sans qu'une complicité préalable n'existe avec le mode expérimental qui lui est inhérent. </p>",

    "body": "<h1>Cimatics</h1>\n<h2>Visual framework</h2>\n<p>Cimatics is a framework for initiating and facilitating audiovisual\nproductions, events, publications and workshops. As part of their identity for\n2009, OSP developed a new family of fonts.<br />\nOne of the questions behind our research was: \"how to represent the diversity\nof images that Cimatics offers to the eye?\"</p>\n<p>One version of the fonts is based on the URW Gothic L, and has been populated\nby dingbats. The result is dusty, noisy, trashy text blocks. Another version\nis a full dingbat font that allows for a pictures/glyphs translation process.</p>\n<p>The CimaticsScaredEye and the CimaticsWhitePentagon have been drawn for the\noccasion, and can be accessed in the Private Use Area of the fonts.</p>\n<p>For the communication of the festival, Cimatics proposed\n<a href=\"http://www.josworld.org\">Josworld</a> to start from this \"raw material\".</p>\n<p>Design and development: Ludi Loiseau, Ivan Monroy Lopez</p>",
